Comment BelowWildlife • Media: PhotographThis photo was taken at a special presentation by Joe Rogers with the Wildlife Recovery Association at the Pierce Cedar Creek Institute in Michigan at the 4th Annual Birds of Prey Program in February 2007. All of the birds had been damaged in such a way that they could no longer be released back to the wild to fend for themselves. Needless to say, it is very hard to get closeup photos of birds of this type in a natural setting. ( Maybe because they don’t want to end up like these birds in the presentation or, worse off, dead. ) I was very thankful to get these photos, even in a controlled situation, simply to be able to see closeup the details of these wonderful birds. The camera I was using was new at the time so I was still getting used to it.
